Clear, practical answers

How to use Dragonfly

Open a question for a short walkthrough. Search filters every section.

🌱Learning & progress

How do I start an assigned module?
  1. Sign in and open My Learning.
  2. Choose Assigned.
  3. Open a pathway card, then select an available module.
  4. Use Start / continue. Dragonfly saves your progress as you move through it.
Where can I find the full learning library?

Open My Learning, then choose Learning Library. Assigned learning is your required plan; the library contains the wider assessed training available to you. Practical scripts and tools have their own Practical Library tab.

Why is an Applied module locked?

Some Applied modules require the matching Foundation module first. Open the locked item to see the prerequisite, complete and pass that Foundation module, then return to Applied learning.

Why has my progress or score not updated?

Refresh the dashboard once after completing the final assessment. Check that the module shows a pass screen and that you remained signed in. Your best score is retained. If it still has not updated after a few minutes, note the module name and use the contact form below.

What are the Practical Library and toolboxes?

They are quick-return workplace resources: scripts, prompts, checklists and conversation tools. They are not assessed modules and do not count towards completion. Use the star to save useful toolboxes to your favourites.

Renewals, compliance & certificates

How do I renew mandatory training?
  1. Open My Learning and choose Needs attention, Mandatory or Overdue.
  2. Open the module marked for renewal.
  3. Choose the renewal action and pass the current assessment.
  4. Your new completion creates a fresh certificate and a new 12-month renewal period.
When does mandatory training become due?

New starters should complete safeguarding, GDPR and other assigned mandatory learning as soon as possible. The initial deadline is 30 days from registration. After a pass, annual renewal runs for 12 months from that completion date.

Does my old completion disappear when I renew?

No. Previous completions remain in your learning history. A successful renewal adds a new completion cycle and certificate rather than overwriting the evidence you already earned.

Where do I download my certificate?

Open My Learning → Learning Journey, find the completed module and choose its certificate action. Managers can also download branded evidence and certificates for staff from the manager evidence area.

What counts as an urgent compliance concern?

Overdue or expired mandatory annual learning—such as assigned safeguarding or GDPR—needs prompt action. Gaps in foundation, awareness or applied practice are development needs: they should lead to a supportive conversation, not automatically be treated as a statutory breach.

👥Managers, teams & registration codes

How do I create a registration code?
  1. Open Staff Login Codes.
  2. Choose the learner role, team and learning pathway.
  3. Review the assigned modules and maximum uses.
  4. Create the code and share it privately with the intended staff.
  5. Choose Start afresh before building a different code for another team or pathway.
How do I create a code for a team senior?

Create or select the team first, then choose the senior/team-lead role and that team while building the code. For a named senior, set the maximum uses to one. Anyone using that code will inherit its team and pathway, so start afresh before making a code for a different team.

How do I assign more learning to existing staff?

Use Assign Learning, select a person or team, then choose a package or individual modules. This adds learning to existing accounts; you do not need to create another registration code.

How do I move somebody to another team?

Open People & Teams. On desktop, use the organisation map to place the learner in the correct team and save. On mobile, use the learner’s quick-assign control.

What should managers review regularly?

Start with Compliance for mandatory overdue or renewal issues, then use Supervision to explore engagement, retries and development gaps proportionately. Use Evidence when you need downloadable organisational records.

🔐Accounts, access & licences

I forgot my password—what do I do?

Go to the sign-in page and choose Forgot password. Open the newest reset email and follow its link. If it is not visible, check junk or spam before requesting another email.

I have not received my confirmation email

Check junk or spam and confirm the address was typed correctly. On the sign-in page, use Resend confirmation. Always use the newest email, as an older link may have expired.

Why does my registration code not work?

Check the letters and numbers carefully and remove spaces. A code can also be expired, deactivated or fully used. Ask your manager to check it under Staff Login Codes or create a replacement.

How do managers add more licences?

On the manager dashboard, find the licence bar and choose Add licences. Select the additional quantity and continue securely to GoCardless. Licences are added automatically only after Dragonfly receives confirmed payment.

Why does removing a learner not restore a licence?

Dragonfly uses named annual licences. Deactivating or removing access protects the account but does not return that named activation during the current licence period. It becomes available again at renewal.

🛠Quick troubleshooting

A dashboard page will not load
  1. Refresh once.
  2. Sign out and back in if your session may have expired.
  3. Try a private/incognito window to rule out an old cached file.
  4. Check whether other tabs load.
  5. If it persists, use the form below and include the page, time and exact warning shown.
The page looks out of date after a deployment

Perform a hard refresh or open the site in a private window. Cloudflare and the browser may briefly retain an older page file even after a new zip is deployed.

My manager cannot see my completion

Confirm you completed the module using the same account linked to the organisation. Refresh your Learning Journey, then ask the manager to refresh Compliance. If your own completion is present but theirs is not, send support the learner email and module name—never your password.

What information should I include in a support request?

Tell us your role, organisation, the page or tab, what you expected, what happened, and the approximate time. Include a screenshot if useful, but never include a password, payment details or confidential information about a service user.

💡Choosing and using Dragonfly

What is included with a licence?

A named licence includes the available learning library, assigned pathways, assessments, certificates, CPD tracking and practical toolboxes. Organisation access also includes manager oversight, team assignment and evidence tools.

Can learners complete optional training?

Yes. Assigned learning should be prioritised first—especially mandatory items—but learners can explore the wider Learning Library and Practical Library included in their access.

Can I use Dragonfly in Welsh?

Yes. Use the language control in the account menu or the Cymraeg switch. Your learning record remains the same when you change language.

How do I show the welcome guide again?

Open My account in the top-right and choose Show welcome guide. Managers can use it to reopen guided page explanations and preview examples.
